LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Susan Margaret Hicks Ezzell, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on September 9, 1939, in Newberry, England, the daughter of the late Henry Albert Hicks and the late Margaret Alice Stillman Hicks and was the wife of the late Dexter "Leo" Ezzell. Susan brought a vibrant spirit to every chapter of her remarkable life.

Susan embraced life's journey with genuine enthusiasm, particularly her love for travel and the serene joy of cruises. She found immense pleasure in exploring new horizons, a testament to her adventurous and curious nature.

Mrs. Ezzell is survived by one son and nine grandchildren, and is proceeded in death by her husband, Leo Ezzell, and her three sons.

The Celebration of Life Service for Susan will be at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
