LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Sue Carol McAteer Eubanks, age 84, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022. She was born April 27, 1938, in Monroe, NC, a daughter of the late Joseph Paul McAteer and Catherine Griffin McAteer. Ms. Eubanks enjoyed working in her flowers and going on vacations with her family. Cooking and Baking were her passions, and she was the best! Family was her main priority and she loved them all; especially, her special needs son, Junior. Ms. Eubanks was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Ms. Eubanks is survived by her two sons, Gary Eubanks (Peggy) and Jimmy "Junior" Eubanks; her daughter, Bobbie Clark (Kenneth); two grandchildren, Brad Jenkins (Casey Maynor) and Brittany Thomas (Rusty Greene); six great grandchildren, Blake Jenkins, Briana Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, Mason Russ, Landon Greene, and Lily Greene; her brother, Bill McAteer (Helen); and a sister, Jo Gill.

Ms. Eubanks was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Jimmy Eubanks; a grandchild, Kevin Jenkins; and two sisters, Donna Fink and Kay Knight.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Eubanks will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Brad Threatt. Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Springhill Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.
