LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Steven Scott Pitmon, age 50, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023. He was born May 29, 1972, in Lancaster, SC, son of Sandra Carnes Pitmon and the late Sammy Pitmon. Steven was employed as a carpenter with Hall Construction. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and he also enjoyed NASCAR. Family was important to him and he loved them dearly.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Taylor Haile (Justin); two grandchildren, Hensley and Preston Haile; his mother, Sandra Pitmon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Pitmon; and his maternal grandmother, Ruby Wright.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Burgess Funeral Home.
