LANCASTER, SC – A life well lived unexpectedly ended on 12 September 2024.  Stephen Jerome Hinson was 80 when he peacefully passed away in his sleep. Predeceased by his father: Felton Hinson, his mother: Nellie Hinson, and his brother: Roger Hinson. Survived by his wife: Janice Newman Hinson, his daughter: Cynthia Hinson Flowe, his son: Timothy Hinson (Michelle), his bonus daughter: Jennifer Newman, grandsons: Brandon Flowe, Harrison Flowe (Morgan), Paul Flowe, and William Hinson, his granddaughter: Ashlynn Hinson, his great grandchildren: Sutton Flowe and Charlie Flowe, and his sister: Rosemary Hinson.

Following his military service as a US Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division (U.S. Army), Steve worked hard as one of the top custom home builders in the Charlotte area and as a general contractor or superintendent throughout the Southeast. He will be well-missed until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life service where friends and family can gather to honor Steve's life and military service will be announced at a later date.
