LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Sidney Staton Haynes, age 76, died December 28, 2013 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born September 8, 1937 in Charlotte, the son of the late George Haynes and Ruby Staton Haynes and husband of Vera Ackerman Haynes. Mr. Haynes retired from Pinnacle Industries and had served as President of the Jaycees. He was a member of Charlotte Engineers Association and Woodcarvers of NC and a member of Catawba Baptist Church where he served on the building committee and served our great country in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife, Vera Ackerman Haynes of the home, two step sons, Jim Millen of Boone, NC and Mike Millen and his wife Donna of Myrtle Beach and four grandchildren, Meredith, Katie, Hunter and Amanda Millen.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Haynes will be 3:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013 at Catawba Baptist Church by Rev. Paul Smith.

The Family of Mr. Haynes will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorials be made to Catawba Baptist Church, 1144 Riverside Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
