LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Shirley Ann Robinson Morgan, age 81, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 9, 1937 in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late John Robinson and Eva Hinson Robinson and was the wife of Hubert Richard Spanky Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was a retired Compositor for The Lancaster News. She enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach with her family. She loved and treasured her children and grandchildren and they all remember her fondly as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved her church, church members and her pastor.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Spanky Morgan; two sons, Dennis Morgan and his wife, Marie and Greg Morgan and his wife, Shelma; a daughter, Debbie Traywick and her husband, Randy; six grandchildren, Matthew Beasley (Teri), Kirk Brunson (Joy), Wynlyn McBride (Cougar), Heath R. Traywick (Samantha), Eva Paige Morgan, and Cody L. Traywick; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Johnnie Clyde Robinson; two sisters-in-law, Anita Robinson and Alma Jean Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill Whitey Robinson, Hazel Tib Robinson and D.J. Hinson; and two sisters, Willie Robinson and Kathleen Keenie Griffin.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be 3:00 pm Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy Fox. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 26, 2018, in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her daughter, Debbie Traywick. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1116, Lancaster, SC 29721.
