INDIAN LAND, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Shirley Patterson Mackenzie, age 67, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. She was born January 12, 1946 in Rock Hill, the daughter of the late William S. Patterson and Mamie Blackwelder Patterson and was the wife of Wayne C. Mackenzie. Mrs. Mackenzie graduated from Presbyterian School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She loved her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, Springmaid Beach, and gospel music. She was a wonderful nurse and was most recently employed with The Cypress of Charlotte. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mackenzie is survived by her husband, Wayne C. Mackenzie, a son, David Orren and his wife Julie, two daughters, Rebecca Orren and Jennifer Knabenshue and her husband Michael, a brother, William Patterson, Jr., a sister, Janice Poston all of Indian Land, and seven grandchildren, Nick, Will, Abby, Aiden, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Kelly.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Mackenzie will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church by Rev. Joel McMakin.

The Family of Mrs. Mackenzie will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorials be made to Epworth Children's Home, 2900 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205.
