LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Shirley Ann Lloyd Cox, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, February 24, 2022.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Palmer Lloyd and Catherine Boone Lloyd and was the wife of the late Stephan Wayne Cox, Sr. She retired from Duke Power and was current manager and bookkeeper of Lloyds @ Five Points. Shirley enjoyed gardening, canning, and working in her yard and flowers. She was a very caring and loving person and caregiver of others. Family was very important to her; especially, her two grandchildren who she loved dearly and were her heart. Shirley was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for years. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Shirley is survived by her son, Stephan Wayne Cox, Jr. (Cara); grandson, Stephan Wayne Cox, III "Trey"; granddaughter, Abby Cox; seven sisters, Sarah Murphy of Florence, SC, Brenda L. Sistare of Denver, NC, Kitty Eargle (Marvin) of Lancaster, Myra L. Sanders of Lancaster, Renee Lloyd-Plyler (Dean) of Lancaster, Priscilla Darlene Collins (Tony) of Seymour, TN, and Karen D. Lloyd of Lancaster; three brothers, Crawford P. Lloyd (Cathy) of Lancaster, Ronnie Lloyd (Belinda) of Lancaster, and Steve D. Lloyd (Paula) of Lake Wateree, SC, a special sister-in-law, Pam Harger; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her parents; a sister, Nancy Lloyd; and two brothers, Michael Wayne Lloyd, and Woodie Lloyd.

The Celebration of Life Service for Shirley will be 3:00 pm Monday, February 28, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Steven Pace. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund, 3731 Lynwood Dr, Lancaster, SC 29720.
