LANCASTER, SC ~ Sheri Roxanne Simcox-Adams passed away at the age of 57. Born on April 7, 1969, in Lancaster, the daughter of Jimmy Randall Simcox and Barbara Jean Horton Simcox.

Sheri was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and a love for learning. A lifelong and devoted member of Old Waxhaw Presbyterian Church, she found great joy in serving her church community, including teaching Sunday School in her earlier years - sharing both her faith and her kind spirit with generations of children.

A proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Sheri continued her education with dedication, earning her Associate’s Degree in Education from University of South Carolina Lancaster and her Master’s Degree in Education from University of South Carolina. She began her career shaping young minds in elementary education, teaching at Lewisville, South Side, and Clinton. Later, she continued sharing her knowledge and passion for education through her work at USC Union.

Sheri found happiness in life’s simple, joyful moments. She had a special love for the colors red and green and delighted in celebrating holidays and birthdays, always bringing warmth and cheer to those around her.

Sheri is survived by her daughter, Annabeth Katherine Adams; her parents, Jimmy and Barbara Simcox; her aunts, Ann Owens and Jo Lynn Adams; her uncle, Robert “Bobby” Simcox (Beth) from Florida; and many loved cousins.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at Old Waxhaw Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, at the church’s community center. Burial will follow at Waxhaw Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
