FORT MILL, SC ~ Mrs. Sharon Lucille Siert Porterfield, age 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by her husband and daughters. She was born September 14, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Ray Hans Siert and the late Lucille Machovec Siert and was the wife of Robert "Bob" Lee Porterfield. Mrs. Porterfield played volleyball while in high school. She enjoyed traveling which included European trips beginning in 1975 with the last trip in 2017 touring Switzerland. Mrs. Porterfield was a great cook, avid gardener, and enjoyed playing Mahjong and Bunco with friends and neighbors. She never met a stranger and was very friendly and supportive of anyone she encountered. Family was her main priority, which included being very active in her daughters' athletic endeavors and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Porterfield was very involved in church. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Mrs. Porterfield is survived by her husband of 52 years; Bob Porterfield; two daughters, Megan Hodde (Jonathan) and Ashley Baxla (Howard); four grandchildren, Ian Hodde, Bailey Hodde, Samantha Baxla, and Summer Baxla; and two sisters, Barbara Paolucci and Rogene Nelsen.

Mrs. Porterfield was preceded in death by her parents.

A private service for Mrs. Porterfield will be held at a later date.
