LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Sharon Lea Hall Maree age 70, passed away peacefully at MUSC Lancaster on December 20, 2025 at MUSC-Lancaster. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on May 5, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Hall and the late Annie Mildred Hall.

Sharon, or Sherri, as she was called, was a true army brat and had traveled extensively before settling in Lancaster. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church since 1989 and loved all her church family and the many festivities. She also loved the group Alabama and had copies of every song they ever made. She was a quiet, meek person who never had a bad word to say of anyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Maree is survived by her son, Jon Robert Maree Downs (Shawn); her sister, Judith H. Stevens, brother-in-law, Charles Stevens; and ten nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Annie Hall; her husband, Roger Maree; and a brother, Jon K. Hall, Sr.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Ruthe Anne Pitt. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.
