LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Shannon Jamal Gilbert, age 50, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born February 12, 1972, in Queens, NY, a son of the late John Henry Gilbert, Sr. and Jennifer Smalls Gilbert and was the husband of Randi Favali Gilbert. Shannon was an outdoorsman who enjoyed RC Crawling and all sports; especially watching college football (Oregon Ducks) and college basketball (UNC) and his NY Yankees. He also coached baseball and basketball. Shannon loved his family and his dogs, River and Callie.

Shannon is survived by his wife of 6 years (together 13 years), Randi Gilbert; his children, Laiel Amaral, Mason Favali (Danyelle), Tai Gilbert, Jeriah Gilbert, and Mirsha Romero; his brother, John Henry Gilbert, Jr. "Duke"; his sister, Faith "Faye" Gilbert; and a large extended family and friends.

Shannon was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation for Shannon will be 5:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Burgess Funeral Home.
