LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Scottie Scott Ellison McCants, age 43, died Friday, September 2, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. He was born July 2, 1973 in Lancaster, a son of the late Randolph McCants and Peggy Ann Small and the husband of Sara Johnson McCants. Scott loved playing basketball, fishing and racing. He was a big jokester and his famous saying was I got this. He loved his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his wife, Sara J. McCants; a son, Matthew McCants; two daughters, Brittany McCants McAteer and her husband, Brent, and Megan McCants; three brothers, Jamey McCants, Michael McCants and Corey McCants; and a granddaughter, Paislee McAteer and a another granddaughter Daisy Duck due in November.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Scott will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 8, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
