LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Rickey Scott "Scottie" Eargle, age 51, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2020 at Piedmont Medical Center.  He was born July 30, 1969 in Lancaster, a son of the late Kenneth Bryant Eargle and Lois Marie Rivers Eargle and was the husband of Melanie Waters Eargle.  Scottie enjoyed eating out, traveling, going to the mountains, and playing cards.  He loved to laugh and just enjoy life.  His grandchildren were his world and he loved them dearly.

Scottie was survived by his wife, Melanie Eargle; three sons, Brandon Eargle, Christopher Stevenson (Brantley), and Ryan Stevenson (Courtney); three daughters, Brianna Eargle, Beth Stevenson, and Brittany Broome; eight grandchildren, Levi Eargle, Luke Eargle, Tanner Stevenson, Addilyn Patterson, Au-Brianna Patterson, Adam Eargle, Owen McPhearson, and Connor McPhearson; a brother, Jamie Eargle (Melissa); a sister, Tammy Rivers Poston; and many nieces and nephews.

Scottie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenny Eargle, Eric Rivers, and Grover Eargle; a sister, Whitney Eargle; a brother-in-law, Johnny Poston; and a sister-in-law, Tammy Eargle.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Scottie will be 3:00 pm Thursday, December 17, 2020 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.  The family request memorials may be made to Burgess Funeral Home, PO Box 1743, Lancaster, SC 29721 to help with the expenses of Scottie's service.
