LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Matthew Scott Stokes, age 41, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021.  He was born August 9, 1980, in Camden, SC, a son of William Stanley Stokes, Sr. and Donna Self Stokes.  Scott was employed with Wire It Up Audio Video.  He loved his children, visiting the river and the mountains and was especially excited to see snow.  He was an avid Gamecock fan and of the Baptist faith.

Scott is survived by his parents; Stanley and Donna Stokes; his fiance`, Jessica Steen; three daughters, Kelsy Michelle Stokes, Victoria LeeAnn Stokes and Christina Nichole Stokes; the mother of his children, Crystal Shelton; a brother, Stan Stokes (Windy); a sister, Nicki Catoe (Cecil); and his maternal grandfather, Clarence Adams.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Scott will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Donnie Birchfield for immediate family only due to Covid.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.
