LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Sarah Plyler Preslar, age 103, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Lancaster Grove Senior Living. She was born August 22, 1920, in Monroe, NC, the daughter of the late Daniel Charlton Plyler and Grace Price Plyler. She was married to the late Roy J. Preslar for 73 years. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlton and Roy, and one sister, Emily Ann.

Mrs. Preslar is survived by two sons, Kenneth Preslar (Lib) of Lancaster, SC, and Dennis Preslar (Sally) of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Harold "Butch" Plyler (Becky) of Wesley Chapel, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Preslar was a homemaker and a devoted member of Plaza Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, playing bridge, and watching college basketball.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Preslar will be 1:00 pm, Friday, September 22, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor John Howle. The family will receive friends following the service. Private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Rd., Lancaster, SC, 29720.
