LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Sandra Ann Whitaker Bailey, age 84, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 13, 1942, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Evie B. Whitaker and the late Mary Edna McManus Whitaker and was the loving wife of the late Ronald “Bud” Bailey.

Mrs. Bailey was a hardworking woman who took great pride in her home and the life she built for her family. She enjoyed working in her yard and found happiness in keeping her home and surroundings beautiful. A talented cook, she loved preparing meals for those she loved and took great pride in being a homemaker. She also operated Bud’s Cafe, where she shared her hard work and dedication with others. Above all, Mrs. Bailey cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.

Whether spending time in the mountains or enjoying the beauty of the beach, she appreciated the simple pleasures of life and the memories made along the way. She will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, love for her family, and the care she put into everything she did.

Sandra is lovingly survived by her son, Ronald “Ronnie” Bailey; her three grandchildren, Carley Brewer (Blake), Ryan Bailey (Kathryn), and Blake Bailey (Megan); her three great-grandchildren; a special niece, Sheila Brownell; and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Bud” Bailey; two sons, Ronald Timothy Bailey, and Richard W. Bailey; her granddaughter, Savanna Bailey; her parents Evie and Mary Whitaker; and her brothers, Charles Bobby Whitaker, William E. Whitaker, and Johnny Whitaker.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Bailey will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
