LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. Samuel Walkup Robinson, age 93, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home. He was born April 25, 1921 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Edgar Lathan Robinson Sr. and Cora Walkup Robinson and was the husband of the late Vivian Major Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a lifelong member of Shiloh Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He served our country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Robinson served his community as a charter member of the Shiloh-Zion Fire Department and as the treasurer for over 50 years. He also served as a director for Farm Bureau since 1950.

Mr. Robinson is survived by three daughters, Amanda Rowe and her husband David of Brevard, NC, Ann Marie Green and her husband Ernie of Kershaw, SC and Jane Plyler and her husband Fred of Lancaster, two brothers Grady Robinson and Dan Robinson of Lancaster, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Cousar Robinson and Edgar Lathan Robinson, Jr. and two sisters, Frances Lucinda Robinson and Sara Robinson Caskey and a son, William Lathan Robinson, Sr.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Robinson will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Shiloh A. R. P. Church conducted by Mr. Scott Mosley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Family Life Center and at other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh A.R.P.
