LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Sallye Jeanette Estridge, age 73, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born February 29, 1944 in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of the late Adoniram Judson Estridge and Effie Jeanette Hilton Estridge. Sallye loved to talk and never met a stranger. Her family says once you met her you never forgot her. She enjoyed taking photos and she loved her family dearly.

Sallye is survived by a brother, Ronnie Blackmon; two sisters, Clara Nell Robinson and Macie Schweigert; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very close friend, Wayne Thurman.

Sallye was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Louie Blackmon; and two sisters, Judy Beckham and Margaret Beckham.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Sallye will be 11:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Lancaster by Rev. Donnie Tillman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Clara Nell Robinson. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
