LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Ruth Hilton Lingle, age 98, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born August 16, 1910 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late John Minton Hilton and Pearl Faile Hilton and was the wife of the late H. Glenn Lingle. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Lingle was survived by 2 sons, Ned A. Lingle and his wife Lynda, and James H. Lingle and his wife Marsha both of Lancaster, 2 daughters, Glenda Cullens of Tampa, FL, and Kay Jordan and her husband Jim of Little River, daughter-in-law, Linda Lingle of Lancaster, a brother Bruce Hilton of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Eunice Peebles and Sarah Funderburk both of Lancaster, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.Mrs. Lingle was preceded in death by a son, Gary G. Lingle.The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Lingle will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Rev. Doug Taylor and Rev. Reggie Hopkins with burial to follow. The Family of Mrs. Lingle will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1841 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
