LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Ruth Stone Gossett, age 78, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. She was born January 6, 1931 in Buffalo, SC, the daughter of the late John W. Stone and Gertie Estell Enlow Stone and was the wife of the late Rev. Francis "Sonny" Gossett. Mrs. Gossett was a homemaker, a Pastor's wife, loving mother and a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gossett is survived by a son, Mark A. Gossett and his wife Patty of Leesville, SC, a daughter, Cindy Smith and her husband Dan of Odessa, FL, a brother, Franklin R. Stone of Burlington, NC, and 2 grandchildren, Emily and Lauren Smith.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Gossett will be 3:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2009 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Jim Elder and Rev. Curtis Cameron with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family of Mrs. Gosssett will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
