LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Ruby L. Steele, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was born December 3, 1933 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late John Henry Steele and Christine Plyler Steele. Ms. Steele was a Weaver for Springs Industries from 1953-1995. She was a very caring and loving lady. Ms. Steele never forgot her family members birthdays and always sent them a card. She was a very neat and organized person who loved being at home. Ms. Steele was a life time member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Ms. Steele is survived by her brother, Rayford Steele and his wife, Sylvia; a sister-in-law, Mary Evelyn Steele; and many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Steele was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles Henry Steele and Wayne Alexander Steele.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Steele will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Michael Jarrell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church family life center and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the American Cancer Society, Lancaster Co.
