LANCASTER, SC:::::::Mrs. Ruby Johnson Maree, age 88, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 16, 1927 in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late Furman Otis Johnson and Susie Mae Wells Johnson and was the wife of the late Arthur Franklin Maree, Sr. Mrs. Maree retired from JP Stevens Company in Great Falls, SC. She enjoyed decorating her home having visitors and spending time with her dog, Bullet. She loved jewelry and accessorizing her outfits with it. Mrs. Maree attended Harvest Ministries Church-God.

Mrs. Maree is survived by two sons, Arthur Franklin Maree, Jr. and his wife, Judy of Rock Hill and Kenneth Wayne Maree and his wife, Elaine of Lake Wateree; three grandchildren, Jason Maree and his wife, Courtney, Kimberly McIntire and her husband, David and Kalah Maree all of Rock Hill; and four great grandchildren, Madison, Kyndell and Landon Maree and Amelia McIntire.

Mrs. Maree was preceded in death by a son, Paul Michael Maree; two brothers, Floyd Johnson and Andrew Johnson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Maree will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Ken Baker with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 3:00 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Harvest Ministries Church-God, 1211 Anderson Road S, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
