LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Shehane, age 78, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022 at MUSC-Kershaw.  He was born August 4, 1943, in Lancaster, a son of the late John Jackson and Maudell Sims Shehane. He married HelenAnne Bowers Cauthen. Mr. Shehane was a member of High Point Baptist Church where he served the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, usher, and always a helper.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Helen of 50 years; his son, William C. Cauthen; his grandson, Christopher Paul Cauthen; one sister, Jane Tripp (Judson); one brother, Tony Shehane (Linda); three sisters-in-law, Suelee Catoe, Kathleen Morgan (Frank), and Nancy McGuire all of Lancaster; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Cauthen (Vicky) of Pawley's Island; and many nieces and nephews including Rhonda, Renee', and Jennifer who helped so very much in the last weeks.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Maudell Shehane; a brother, Allen Shehane; four brothers-in-law, Clyde Catoe, Ron McGuire, Gene Bowers, and Al Cauthen; and one sister-in-law, Jean Shehane.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ronnie will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 9, 2022, at High Point Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Billy Belk.  A private burial will follow in the church cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to High Point Baptist Church, Deacon Fund, 1888 Rocky River Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
