LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::Mr. Ronnie Lee "Red" Starnes, Sr. age 47, of 2093 Athena Road, died Friday, April 24, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born May 1, 1961 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Jack Starnes and Viola Ghent Starnes. Mr. Starnes was a self-employed handyman and was of the Baptist faith.Mr. Starnes was survived by his wife, Margie Johnson Starnes of the home, 2 sons, Ronnie L. Starnes, Jr. and his fiance Angel Scott and Benjamin E. Starnes both of Lancaster, a daughter, Ronda Starnes and her fiance Francisco Martinez of Lancaster, a sister, Amy Sue Kennington of Lancaster, and 4 grandchildren, Leonel Starnes, Jared Starnes, William Starnes, and Jason Starnes.The Family will hold a Graveside Service for Mr. Starnes at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Oakhurst Baptist Church Cemetery.The Family suggests memorial contributions to Oakhurst Baptist Church, 394 Barnett Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058 or flowers can be sent to the home at 2093 Athena Road, Lancaster.
