LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::Mr. Ronnie Alan Queen, Sr., age 66, of 2121 Kershaw Camden Hwy., died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his home. He was born September 23, 1942 in Gastonia, NC, the son of Lois Jackson Queen and the late WJ Queen and was the husband of Linda Wood Queen. Mr. Queen, a retired owner and operator of Ronnie Queen Ford for 20 years, was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge, a Shriner with Hejaz Shrine Temple, a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and served our great country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Queen was survived by his wife, Linda W. Queen of the home, his mother, Lois J. Queen of Lancaster, a son, Ronnie A. "Skip" Queen and his wife Elizabeth of Lipan, TX, a daughter Deana Queen-Gasque and her husband Michael of Lancaster, a brother, Danny Queen and his wife Sandra of Gaffney, 2 sisters, Penny Q. Ribelin and her husband Freddie of Lancaster, Rev. Dr. Kandy Queen-Sutherland and her husband Dixon of Deland, FL, and 4 grandchildren; Chance Gasque, Elliott Queen, Ali Gasque, and Katherine Queen.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Queen will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church by Rev. Marie Nuckles and Rev. Dr. Kandy Queen-Sutherland with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
