LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Hilton Blackmon, age 73, passed away January 22, 2025. He was born in Lancaster, SC son of the late Effie Hilton Blackmon and Henry Furman Blackmon. Ronnie was a member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church.  Mr. Blackmon previously worked for Duracell in Lancaster. He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events as well as attending auctions.

Ronnie is survived by his son, Brent Blackmon (Jennifer); grandchildren, Zackery Blackmon, Cameron Benton, Emilie Benton, Abby Blackmon, and Jaxon Riggins, all of Lancaster. A sister Macie Schweigert of Ashboro, NC. Also, many nieces and nephews who adored "Uncle Ronnie".

Mr. Blackmon is preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Blackmon; sisters Clara Nell Robinson, Mary Margaret Beckham, Judy Beckham, Sallye Estridge, and Annie Grace Grantham; and brother George Louis Blackmon.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ronnie will be 11:00 am Monday, January 27, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Brad Kirkley and Jerry Croxton. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Brent and Jennifer Blackmon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baseball or Softball programs at Lancaster High School, 325 Woodland Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
