LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Ronnie Thomas Adams, age 58, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home. He was born May 31, 1957 in Lancaster, a son of the late Woodrow P. Adams and Pauline Deason Adams. He retired from Springs Industries, was an avid Gamecock fan and a huge supporter of Buford High School Football and Soccer. Ronnie enjoyed dirt track racing at the Lancaster Motor Speedway. He was a lifetime member of Camp Creek Baptist Church and was very involved with the youth and senior groups. He was also an active member of the choir and vocal team.
Ronnie is survived by a brother, Anthony Wayne Adams and his wife, Kathy; two sisters, Kathy Davis and her husband, Tommy and Vickie Caskey all of Lancaster; two nephews, Chris Davis and his wife Sherry and Ken Caskey, Jr. and his special friend, Gina Arioli all of Lancaster; a great niece and great nephew, Chassity and Christopher Davis.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother, James Adams.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Adams will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Camp Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Mellichamp and Mark Shelley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster and other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Camp Creek Baptist Church, Youth Fund or Joy Group, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
