WAXHAW, NC ~ Wilfred Ronald "Ron" DuVal, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at White Oak Manor of Waxhaw following a 48-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Ron was born October 3, 1948 in Danbury, CT.  He was the son of the late Wilfred Winchell DuVal and Beatrice Emily Blakeman DuVal. Ron worked for Laxton Construction for many years where he worked with heavy equipment. He spent many years helping to construct I-95 in South Florida. Ron loved the outdoors and his animals. He especially loved his horse Spirit, and his dog Cocoa, they both enriched his life and brought many good times and memories. Ron's favorite interests were cars, motorcycles, and the beach. He was a brave fighter with an upbeat personality and a huge sense of humor.

Ron is survived by his two sisters, Diane Jackson, and Cyndi Brudnicki (Bob); three nephews, Scott, Robert, and PJ.; and a niece, Jennifer.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ron will be 2:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Public viewing will be at 1:30pm, thirty minutes prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
