Obituary

LANCASTER, SC – Rodney Dennis Dahl, age 83, passed away Monday April 8, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Rodney was a quiet, hardworking man. His wisdom, quick wit, and strength were known by all who spent time with him. With his skilled hands, Rodney could build or fix anything, especially when it came to airplanes or toys for the grandkids. Rodney worked for Northwest Airlines as an airline mechanic for 34 years. After he retired, he could be found flying model airplanes, fishing, putting puzzles together and playing cards and board games. Rodney loved his family very much and spent much of his time attending the events of his grandchildren and being the best grandpa and papa he could be.

He was a loving husband, and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eddee Dahl; his son, Mark Dahl (Laura) of Brookfield, Illinois; his daughter, Lori Conway (Steve) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; grandchildren, Marie Johnson-Dahl, Emma Dahl, Aidan Conway, Ellie Conway; and his sister Rhoda Myrvik (Don). Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Nerving Dahl, and his mother, Alma Dahl.

The celebration of Life Service for Rodney will be at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00 on Saturday, April 27 at Crossroads Lutheran Church, 8523 Henry Harris Road, Fort Mill, SC 29707.

Rodney Dahl, a man who touched the lives of many, will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will live in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Lutheran Church to support food pantry ministries.
