LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Rodney David Cauthen, Sr., age 50, died Saturday, September 10, 2016. He was born March 15, 1966 in Pensacola, FL, a son of David Rollins Cauthen, Sr. and Lorraine Threatt Hall. Mr. Cauthen was employed with Carolina General Contractors in Richburg. He attended One Accord Ministries of Richburg, Bethel United Methodist Church and Liberty Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Cauthen is survived by his mother, Lorraine Threatt Hall of Lancaster; two sons, Nicholas Nick Ryan Cauthen and Rodney David Cauthen, Jr.; a daughter, Alexandria Brooke Cauthen, all of Lancaster; a brother, David Cauthen, Jr. of Lancaster; four sisters, Cindy Rubio and Terry Whitley of Lancaster, Carolyn Coleman of High Point, NC and Angel Hough and her husband Shawn of Richburg; two grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Cauthen, Jr. and Aria Rae Cauthen.

Mr. Cauthen was preceded in death by his father, Edward Floyd Hall and a nephew, Edward Michael Mosley.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Cauthen will be at 11:00 am Thursday, September 15, 2016 at The Chapel Burgess Funeral Home by Dr. Melvin Hughes and Rev. Rickie Phipps. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Wednesday evening, September 14, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Go Fund Me page for Rodney Cauthen to help with medical expenses.
