LANCASTER, SC ~ Robert Anson Whitaker, infant son of Robert and Tabitha Montgomery Whitaker went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. Anson was born June 8, 2019 in Lancaster, SC.  Though he didn't spend much time with us, he touched many of our lives.

Those left to cherish Anson's memory include his parents, Robert and Tabitha Whitaker; three sisters, Raegan, Bailey, and his twin sister, Anslee; his maternal grandparents, Mike and Cathy Montgomery; his paternal grandparents, Lynn Whitaker and her husband Johnny, and Charles E. Whitaker; great grandparents, Judy Whitaker, Ruth Mahaffey, Jenny Hunter, Carolyn Mobley and her husband, Ed, and Marylee Kirkland; two aunts, Laura White and her husband, Dustin and Crystal Stewart and her husband, Jeff; uncles, Steve Whitaker and his wife, Jessica, and Mikie Montgomery; six first cousins, and a large extended family.

Anson was preceded in death by five great grandfathers, Sonny Montgomery, Bobby Whitaker, James W. Mahaffey, Floyd Huntsinger, and Jim Hunter.

The Service of Remembrance for Anson will be 3:00 pm Friday, June 21, 2019 at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Anderson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Judy Whitaker. The family appreciates the prayers and concerns extended to them during this time.
