LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Robert Leo Pfahlert, age 93, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021.   He was born March 15, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Clarence Pfahlert and Augusta Sauer Pfahlert and was the husband of the late Dolores Pfahlert.  Mr. Pfahlert grew up in Detroit and loved the city.  He was the owner and operator of Lifetime Ceiling and served our country in the United States Army and was a Mason and a Shriner for 52 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed swimming and baseball.  Mr. Pfahlert was very involved in the community and would always be the first to step up when any need arose.  He retired at the age of 80 and served with meal on wheels for six years.  He was a very unselfish person, knew how to celebrate everyday and was known as the "Doughnut" man.  Mr. Pfahlert was a member of Douglas Presbyterian Church. He served in many capacities in other churches before moving to Lancaster.

Mr. Pfahlert is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Ann Helgeson and her husband, Jerry; two grandchildren, Ashley Helgeson, and Robert Helgeson and his wife, Krystene; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pfahlert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores; and three brothers, Clarence Pfahlert, Edward Pfahlert and Larry Pfahlert.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Pfahlert will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Douglas Presbyterian Church by Rev. Christina Trimble.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with funeral honors and Masonic rites.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at Burgess Funeral Home and from 10:00 – 11:00 am Thursday at the church. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.
