LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Robert Blackwell Davis, age 92, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at White Oak Manor. He was born February 22, 1921 in Richmond County, NC, the son of the late Thomas Edgar Davis and Katherine Blackwell Davis and was the husband of the late Mary Frances Cannon Davis. Mr. Davis retired from the City of Spartanburg as an Accountant. He was a member of Ben Avon Methodist Church in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Davis was also a life member of Jackson Lodge #53.

Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Thomas Henry Davis and his wife Kathy of Lancaster, SC, a daughter Katherine Ruth D. Bowers and her late husband Leroy N. Bowers of Kershaw, SC, a sister-n-law Martha B. Davis Gandy, 2 grandchildren, Christopher Thomas Davis and Robert Jeffcoat Bowers, and 3 great grandchildren.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Cannon Davis.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Davis will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Don Waldrop. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham, NC.

The Family of Mr. Davis will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Hartley- Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to The American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA, 22311 or to the Jackson Masonic Lodge #53, Lancaster, SC.
