LANCASTER, SC :::: Mr. Robert Franklin Catoe, Sr., age 89, died Friday, June 20, 2014 at White Oak Manor. He was born January 1, 1925 in Kershaw County, the son of the late Grace Hunter and Benjamin Coleman Catoe and his stepfather the late Melvin L. Broughton. Mr. Catoe was the retired owner of Catoe Construction Company and an active member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Mr. Catoe is survived by a daughter, Teresa C. Martin of Jacksonville, FL, daughter-in-law, Leain Catoe of Charlotte, 3 brothers, Cecil Catoe and his wife Joyce, Art Catoe, and Jerry Broughton and his wife Manetta all of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Valnetta Horton and her husband Hazel of Lancaster, and Bernice McWaters of Liberty Hill, 6 grandchildren, several step grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mr. Catoe was preceded in death by a son, Robert Franklin Catoe, Jr. and a brother, Wilbert Catoe.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Catoe will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Ronnie Boone and Rev. Bobby Joyner. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Presbyterian Church in Heath Springs.

The Family of Mr. Catoe will receive friends from1:00 - 2:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2014 at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church.
