LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Richard D. "Moto" Morris, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born April 28, 1947, in Lancaster, a son of the late William Jarvis Morris and Hattie Burns Morris and was the husband of Cheryl Willis Morris. Mr. Morris proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening, watching birds, and just being outdoors.  Mr. Morris was an avid Gamecock fan and was a former member of the Lancaster Shag Club. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cheryl Morris; his daughter, Sharon Stacks (Duke); his son, Brian Morris (Crystal); six grandchildren, Emilie Funderburk (Tyler), Taylor Stacks (Justin), Bailey Stacks, Madison Morris, Haley Threatt, and Emilee Threatt; two great grandchildren and one on the way; his brother, Jack Morris; and his sister, Debbie Stogner.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Donnie Stogner.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Morris will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jimmy Jordan.
