INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mr. Richard Manning Rodgers, Jr., age 78, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at White Oak Manor- Waxhaw, NC.  He was born on July 23, 1942 in Rock Hill, SC, a son of the late Richard Manning Rodgers, Sr. and Dorothy Wilson Rodgers.  Mr. Rodgers enjoyed farming, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren, especially Shea.  He was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by his son, William "Bill" Rodgers (Donna) of Indian Land; five grandchildren, Shea Rodgers, Susan Brubaker (Josh), Lee Sweem (Amy),  Erin Adam (Emmanuel), Casey Sweem; four great grandchildren, Jayden, Trent, Eli and Caroline; two sisters, Elaine Chapman of Pageland, SC, and Karen Mullen of Holly Springs, NC; and a son-in-law, Danny Sweem.

Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Leslie Sweem.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Rodgers will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 30, 2021 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Larry Helm.
