LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Richard Austin Joyce, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was very proud of his time in The United States Navy during the Korean War, worked as a machinist until retirement, loved camping and trailering and enjoyed documenting his family history through photography and his computer.

Richard is survived by children of his first wife, Carla Joyce (d. 2003), Conniejo (Cj), Katy, Lance, and Clint (d. 2020); four grandchildren, Ally, Austin, Tyler, and Amber; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Griffin, and Grace. He is also survived by children of his second wife, Judy Joyce (d. 2023), John, Jerry, Jim, and Jeff; five grandchildren, Evan, Jenelle, Johnny III, Jerry Jr., and Gregory; and three great-grandchildren, Wade, Miles, and Johnny IV.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Richard will be held at a later date.

Inurnment will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with Judy Joyce.
