INDIAN LAND, SC – Mr. Richard Arnold Greves, age 85, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at home. He was born February 16, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Thomas Herbert Greves and Petra Larson Greves and was the loving husband of Patricia "Pat" Rhatigan Greves. Mr. Greves retired from the New York Stock Exchange as Assistant Vice President. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Greves enjoyed bowling, softball, golf, fishing, listening to music, and writing. He also enjoyed his time volunteering at Spring Hill Hospital while living in Florida. Mr. Greves was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Greves is survived by his wife of 60 years; Pat Greves; two sons, Richard Greves (JoAnn) and Robert Greves; daughter, Joanne Halm (Zac); and four grandchildren, Kathryn Greves, Anthony Greves, Lola Halm, and Zoe Halm.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Greves will be 4:00 pm Monday, August 21, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Joanne and Zac Halm. Mr. Greves will be buried at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY at a later date.
