LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Richard Bowers, age 69, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at his home. He was born December 16, 1943 in Lancaster, the son of the late Charlie Richard Bowers and Lee Belle Williams Bowers and was the husband of Becky Lane Bowers. Mr. Bowers retired from Morrisons Textiles and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife Becky Lane Bowers, 2 sons, Steven Bowers and his wife BettyJo of Columbia, and Mark Jordon of Irmo, a daughter, Michelle Bowers Jolly of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren, Michael Lloyd and his wife Verna, Stevie Bowers, Danny Bowers, Joshua Bowers, Bobby Jordan and his wife Krista, and Leslie Jordan, and 5 great grandchildren, Kylee Lloyd, Matthew Lloyd, Rosie Jordan, Ellie Jordan, and Olivia Jordan.

Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by a son, Michael Richard Bowers, Jr. and a sister, Peggy Medlin.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Bowers will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church by Pastor Gerald Eaves and Steven Bowers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family of Mr. Bowers will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary and suggest memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101 www.stjude.org or Faith Baptist Church, 4695 JB Denton Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
