LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Reba Jean Ballard, age 75, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was born August 10, 1950, in Lancaster, SC the daughter of the late William Curtis Hough and the late Minnie Baker Hough and was the loving wife of Ricky Ballard.

Mrs. Reba found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She loved spending quiet time with her husband, working puzzles together, and expressing her creativity through crafting, crocheting, and woodworking. She cherished traveling and camping trips with friends, especially those spent by the beach, and had a special fondness for hummingbirds.

At home, she was most content in her chair, enjoying time on her tablet while watching her favorite shows. Professionally, Mrs. Reba dedicated much of her career to accounting with Walmart and Home Depot, where she took great pride in her work and always made sure everything was just right and the books were perfectly balanced.

She will be remembered for her steady spirit, her creativity, and the comfort she found in both her work and the people she loved.

Mrs. Reba is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ricky Ballard; her two daughters, Zoe Hough and Andrea Bosco; her son, Danny Bosco; her grandson, Quinton Huthmacher; her brother, Bruce Hough; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Gail Hegler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hough and Minnie Hough; her brothers, Frank Hough and Ward Hough; and her sisters, Mildred Pauline Carnes, Euree Mosley, Wilma Lawyer, and Georgia Mosley.
