LANCASTER, SC::::::::::: Mr. Rayford James "Jim" Stacks, age 78, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his home. He was born March 26, 1937 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Frank B. Stacks and Evie Starnes Stacks and was the husband of the late Peggy Elizabeth Sistare Stacks. Mr. Stacks retired from Pageland Farm Equipment as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and tractors. He served our country in the United States Army National Guard and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Stacks was survived by two sons, Randy J. Stacks and his wife, Pamela of Heath Springs and Jimmy Stacks and his wife, Diane of Lancaster; a daughter, Tammy S. Gardner of Lancaster; two sisters, Ann Funderburk and Martha Stevens of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Michael Gardner, Felicia Stacks, Brandon Wallace, Dylan Faile, Dana Campbell, Leslie Cobb and April McClain, and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Stacks was preceded in death by six brothers, Nay Stacks, Hoyt Stacks, Ware Stacks, Larry Stacks, Bub Stacks, and Grady Joe Stacks and a sister, Evelyn Flanagan.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Stacks will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Springhill Baptist Church by Rev. Brad Threatt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday in the church fellowship hall and other times at his home. Memorial contributions may be made to Springhill Baptist Church, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
