Obituary

LANCASTER, SC – Mr. William Randy Adams, age 71, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was born February 10, 1953, in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late William J. Adams and Lois Thomas Adams and was the husband of Betty Moseley Adams. Randy retired from Lancaster County Water and Sewer as Water Superintendent. He enjoyed working outside, racing, and spending time with his family.  Randy was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved being a part of and attending Zamar Church.

Randy is survived by his wife, Betty Adams; son, William Randy Adams, Jr.; daughter, Kim Stacks (William "Bo"); two grandchildren, Kristen S. Wallace (Kolton) and Kaleb Stacks; brother, Robert Adams; two sisters, Sandra K. Mungo (Joe) and Jan Adams (special friend, Al Gibson); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Peggy Adams.

A Celebration of Life Service for Randy will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Marvin Tennant. Burial will follow at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Zamar Church, 542 Lancaster Bypass East, Lancaster, SC 29720.
