LANCASTER, SC –Randell Dotson, 72, of Steele, KY, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at his daughter's home in South Carolina.  Randell was born November 13, 1950 in Pike County, KY to the late Claude and Minnie (Griffith) Dotson. He was a member of Tabernacle of Truth Church.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in  death by his wife, Geraldine (Lester) Dotson and brothers, Michael Dotson and Mitchell Dotson.

Randell is survived by his daughter, Serena Dotson (Rodger) Bentley; a grandson, Jacob Randall (Becky) Fields; two great granddaughter, Adalynn Faith Fields and Kinsley Grace Fields; a grandson, Zach Bentley; a granddaughter, Rachel (Evan) Tackett; a niece, Sharri Pate Smith, who has also felt like a daughter; a nephew, Kevin Thacker, who also felt like a son; four sisters, Ruth Ann (Bobby) Pate of Jonesborough, TN, Joy Belcher of Feds Creek, KY, Judy (Stan) Ward, of Lawrenceville, VA, and Lori (Greg) Rice of Van Lear, KY; also, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be at Bailey Funeral Home in ElkHorn City, KY on Sunday, February 26 ^th at 3:00 PM for family and 4:00 pm for friends. Services will be at 5:00 pm.  Funeral Service will be conducted by Kevin Thacker and Robert Lester.  Burial services will be at Bailey Funeral Home at 12:00 pm, Monday, February 27, 2023, and internment will follow at The Lester Family Cemetery, Dicks Fork, Steele KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research Institute.
