LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Ralph Herbert Sullivan, age 80, of 2250 John Everall Road, died Sunday. He was born February 4, 1929 in Cheraw, the son of the late Robert Herbert Sullivan and Dollie Jane Harp Sullivan and was the husband of Edwina "Eddie" Thomas Sullivan. Ralph was a loving husband and father, a great brother and brother in law and an all around wonderful person and friend who ended his journey on December 6, 2009. He retired from Springs Industries - Oxford Plant, was a member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and a member of the Oasis Club at First Baptist Church, and served our great country in the United States Army. Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edwina "Eddie" Sullivan of the home, 2 daughters, Kathy Sullivan and Donna Sullivan Stacks and her husband Dale both of Lancaster, a brother, Isaac Sullivan and his wife Peggy of Kershaw, and 5 sisters, Clarine Ogburn and her husband Juddy of Bethune, Cora Lee Newman and her husband Bill also of Bethune, Grace Huffstein of Lake City, Helen Horton and her husband Donnie of Jefferson, and Loretta Belk of Kershaw.Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Carroll Sullivan, Bud Sullivan, Clayton Sullivan, Ray Sullivan, and Robert Sullivan, and a sister, Margaret Truesdale.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Sullivan will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Glenwood Heights Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Neal and Rev. Ben Metcalf with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
