LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Ralph Davis Love, age 73, died Friday, October 14, 2016 at his home. He was born February 4, 1943 in Chester, a son of the late Malcolm Marion Love and Mary Jeanette Doster Love. Mr. Love was first married to the late Brenda Joyce Barnes Love and later married Patricia Miner Gillespie Love. He retired from Duke Power after 30 years of service and also retired from Lancaster County Water and Sewer District. He served our country in the United States Air Force, enjoyed playing golf, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended Lynwood Drive Church of God and Douglas Presbyterian Church and had previously served in the lay ministry at Douglas.

Mr. Love is survived by his wife, Patricia Miner Gillespie Love; three daughters, Crystal Cauthen and husband Jamey, April Funderburk and husband Tracy and Kim Love all of Lancaster; step children, Charles B. Gillespie III and wife Amanda, Jeffrey Jay Gillespie and wife Jenny, Deborah Gillespie Hall and husband Jim, and Krystal Gillespie McBride and husband Rodney; a sister, Esther Love Cameron of Chester; five grandchildren, Haley and Emilee Threatt, Spencer, Ethan and Colt Funderburk; and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Mr. Love was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel Marion Love, James Hamilton Love and Jessie Crosby Love and a sister, Charlotte Louise Love Hazel.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Love will be 1:00 pm, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Douglas Presbyterian Church by Dr. Harris Ricks and Rev. Eric Dawson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Lynwood Drive Church of God, 2138 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, SC 29720.
