LANCASTER, SC::::::Mr. Raeford Lane Starnes, age 74, died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Warriors Walk Veterans Hospice Center in Columbia, SC. He was born November 8, 1941 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Arris Guy AG Starnes and Ruby Christina Gay Starnes. Mr. Starnes was a Self-Employed Electrician. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and his dogs, Dino and Little Big Man. He was a member of the National Electrician's Union. Mr. Starnes wired many nuclear plants throughout the Carolina's. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Mr. Starnes is survived by four children, a son, and three daughters; a brother, Roger G. Starnes (Tamara); two sisters, Diane Fleming of Memphis, TN and Phyllis Hittell of Newton, NC; a granddaughter, Tiffanie Paradis of Wetumka, OK; many grandchildren and great children; and two special friends, Penny Garrett and Patty Clowers of Tuttle, OK.

Mr. Starnes was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy Joe Starnes, Gary Starnes, Johnathan Starnes and his twin brother, Gaeford Wayne Starnes; and a sister, Sharon Faith Graves.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
