LANCASTER, SC ~ Edith Phyllis Hough, age 80, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025. She was born April 10, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Gary Nathaniel Hough and the late Dorothy Howze Hough. Phyllis retired from Belk after 25 years. She loved working in her flowers, arts and crafts, especially painting, and doing puzzles. Phyllis loved her family and loved spoiling her grand fur baby, Roxie.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Stacks; nieces and nephews, Scott Hough (Tina), Sandy Croxton (Chuckie), and Jana Hough; great nieces and nephew, Caitlin James (Jesse), Cody Hough, and Breanna McCutchen; and great-great nieces, Ryland Hough, Brinxtley James, Morgan Adams, Brelin Adams, Aubree Adams, and Zaveah McCutchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Dorothy Hough; and two brothers, Gary S. Hough and Howard Hough.
The Celebration of Life Service for Phyllis will be 3:00 pm Monday, February 10, 2025, at Hopewell United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Renee Garrison and Rev. Cotton Pate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall.
