LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Phillip Scott Robinson, Sr., age 60, passed away, Sunday, February 23, 2025 at MUSC-Lancaster. He was born August 21, 1964 in Lancaster, SC, the son of Dan Morrow Robinson, Sr. and the late Aurie "KoKo" Curtis Corbett Robinson. "Big Phil" never met a stranger and always had a big smile, twinkle in his eye, and a bear hug for anyone who saw him. He loved nature, camping with his family, hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, and canning. He liked to sit in the woods each morning to listen to the birds and soak in being in nature. Phillip had a special love for music; he was a lead singer for Rough Mix at Clemson and in Atlanta. He was a member of the Hillbilly Thunder Motorcycle Club, and followed the Clemson Tigers, Baltimore Oriels, Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR. He enjoyed cooking for others and was known as a "gourmet cook". Phillip was a lifelong member of Shiloh ARP Church where he had served as Deacon.

Phillip is survived by his two children, Phillip Robinson, Jr., and Naomi Robinson; his former wife, Cynthia Robinson; his father, Dan Robinson, Sr.; his brother, Dan Robinson, Jr. (Julie); his niece, Caroline Robinson; and his nephew, Fischer Robinson.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Aurie "KoKo" Robinson.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Friday, February 28, 2025 at Shiloh ARP Church, officiated by Rev. Dean Franklin of Shiloh ARP Church and Rev. Mark Miller of Clover ARP Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
