LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Philip "Phil" Alan Helms, age 55, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Phil loved his family, friends, Clemson football, NASCAR, and vacationing at the beach. His kind, giving heart and sense of humor will forever live in our hearts.

Phil is survived by his parents, Robert "Bobby" E. Helms and Ray Flynn Helms; sister, Luray Johnson (Howard); brother, Kevin Helms (Stacey); nieces, Valeray Jones (David), Tiffany Mahaffey (Luke), and Kayla Minors (Chase); nephews, Joshua Johnson (Casey), Jacob Johnson (Kelsey), Kevin Outen (Tammy), and Kyle Outen; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A visitation to celebrate Phil's life will be held from 2:00pm - 4:00pm Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Fellowship Hall of Unity ARP Presbyterian Church, 3495 Unity Church Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.  A private service for the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Unity ARP Presbyterian Church, 3495 Unity Church Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720 or a charity of your choice.
